About Us
  Generations of Needlepointers

Stretch your creativity and feel that satisfaction of enjoying something you made by hand! We create accessible needlepoint projects for the casual crafter or want-to-be crafter. No Experience Necessary!

Crafting can help combat anxiety and depression. The repetition of the crafts has been shown to release serotonin, a natural anti-depressant, while creating something by hand also promotes a feeling of accomplishment and pride.

All Needlepoint Gateway projects are designed to be finished into usable items in your everyday life.

About Our Founder, Dana Miller

Dana grew up loving arts and crafts but never considered herself an artist. Her grandmother was a prolific needle-pointer and her mother was an expert knitter. Learning both at a young age, Dana fell in love with needlepoint. Whether being the only child in the needlepoint store or getting some awkward glances stitching on airplanes, Dana stitched off and on her whole life.

Like many others, Dana spent significantly more time crafting during COVID-19 quarantine- it was then that she discovered a whole community of stitchers just like her! Expanding her stitching knowledge, vastly expanding her canvas stash, and most importantly creating amazing friendships.

Having worked in marketing, brand building, and e-commerce for almost 2 decades, Dana was looking for a change of pace and priorities and began working part-time in her local needlepoint shop and loved it – especially teaching new stitchers.

Dana wanted to bring her love of needlepoint to new stitchers, removing the barriers many new stitchers face by creating a kit geared to adults that gives you everything you need to not just start needlepointing but make something you can actually use! So when someone asks “cute, where did you buy that” you can respond “Thanks, I made it!”

After teaching countless new stitchers, Dana has created her tutorials to help you avoid the usual pitfalls and set you up for success!
